Salsu Visit

Welcoming Students from Malmö University

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Malmö University’s Leadership for Sustainability and Leadership & Organization master's programs to Ödet for a study visit.

House ödet is located in Sofielund, a quite neighboor in Malmö.

What is ödet?
Located in the quiet neighborhood of Sofielund in Malmö, ödet is a green hub in with a focus on circular economy & sharing services. Started in early 2023, ödet is co-working space in Malmo that has a keen focus on community oriented businesses and circular economy.

Malmö University Students Drop By

Ödet had the privilege of hosting a group of bright and passionate students from Malmö University’s Leadership for Sustainability and Leadership & Organization master’s programs. This visit offered an invaluable opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and reflect on our collective journey towards sustainability.

Reflecting on Our Own Journey

Seeing these students at the beginning of their path reminded us of the early days of Cohabit’s original co-founders, Jed Manguera, Vaishnavi Srinivasan, and Maximilian Pangerl. Just three years ago, they were part of the Leadership for Sustainability program, nurturing the ideas and ambitions that would eventually lead to the Cohabit. Today, Cohabit continues on making a tangible impact within our region, driven by the same passion and purpose that inspired their initial steps as students.

The Power of Leadership and Collaboration

The discussions with the students were centered on the role of leadership and collaboration in tackling sustainability challenges, particularly those that impact urban environments. We explored how communities can work together to address pressing societal and environmental issues, leveraging leadership as a tool for transformative change. Our conversations underscored the importance of collective efforts in creating solutions that are both impactful and enduring.

We were delighted to share these moments with like-minded individuals, including sustainability advocates Torben Ohlander, Lotte Ohlander, the ownders of ödet and Teres Arvidsson from Häjk, an incubator program for circular initiatives in the city. Their experiences and insights added depth to the dialogue, highlighting the diverse ways in which we can all contribute to a more sustainable future.
